It's that time of the year again, Mother's Day is just around the corner. For those of you who have a difficult time figuring out what to get your mom for Mother's Day, let me help you out by suggesting a little something that she might like - essential oils! Here I share a list of the best essential oil gifts for moms to give you some guidance and ideas.
What better way to show your mom how much she means to you than by giving her something that will make her feel pampered, loved, and relaxed? It is no secret that essential oils have a way of not only making us feel better but also helping us heal. So, to make your mother feel extra special this year, why not give the gift of essential oils?
Do Essential Oils Make Good Gifts?
Not necessarily! What?? Let's look at why I said that.
Unless you have an experienced oiler on your gift list, a bottle of essential oil or an oil set by themselves may go unused because the receiver may not know or understand how to put them to use safely.
Instead of giving them a bottle of essential oil, it may be more thoughtful to give gift products made with essential oils, either DIY or purchased.
Remember when you were new to oils (maybe you still are??), learning to use them was a bit of a learning curve, right?
Essential oils took me a while to warm up to. I was first given a bottle of White Fir, the giver said it would help with my respiratory system and gave me some brief instructions on how I could use it.
It took me a while before I even attempted to use it because I just wasn't sure what to do with it. Give me a white fir soap bar or homemade body cream with that oil and I would know how to use it... but with the bottle of oil, I was a little lost.
So, if you have someone that is new to essential oils and aromatherapy, try giving them a gift that has essential oils in it. That way they can use essential oils and gain some positive experiences, then they will be open to trying more :)

Depending on your budget, you may want to get a few of the gift items above and make them into a pampering gift bundle! That is what I am doing for my mom. Think about what she likes or what she could use to make her day a little more special. Here is the bundle I am making for her:
- Rosewater Spray - I think she will like the soft fragrance for room or linen and may even use as a facial toner like me.
- Immune Blend - This is easy to use and she will like the aroma along with the fact that it will support her immune system.
- Restore Healing Balm - She frequently gets bruises and has problems with dry, itchy skin so I think this will be a winner.
- Peppermint lip Balm - Because everybody loves smooth lips and the peppermint in this blend give the lips a nice ittle tingle.
When covid first hit, I bought my mom a diffuser with Plant Therapy's Germ Fighting blend. She really appreciated that set. What would your mom like?
