Lavender Essential Oil Hand Cream Recipe
Lavender is a calming scent that has been commonly used to reduce stress and promote sleep. Lavender hand cream is one of the easiest ways to get this calming effect into your daily routine. It's also easy on sensitive skin, making it perfect for people with allergies or dry skin!
- 24 drops Lavender essential oil
- 3 tablespoons Virgin Coconut Oil
- 1 tablespoon Beeswax Pellets
- 2 oz Glass Jar
How to Make Lavender Hand Cream
Here's how to make a hand cream with essential oils:
Step 1: Place beeswax and coconut oil in pyrex glass measuring cup (as pictured above), then place the cup in a pan with about 2 inches of gently boiling water. Stir occasionally.
Step 2: Once melted, remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.
Step 3: Add essential oil in and blend well.
Step 4: Pour mixture into the jar and let cool until harden before use.
How To Use Lavender Essential Oil Hand Cream
Get a small amount of cream and rub onto hands and cuticles. Best to use a clean spatula to scoop out to avoid getting germs into your cream.
Keep the lid on when the cream is not in use and keep cream in a cool place away from sun/heat. Lasts up to 6 months.
If not actively using the jar, you may want to store in the refrigerator to keep fresh.
