Winter Essential Oil Crafts
Add a dash of Christmas magic to your holiday cards and pinecones by scenting them with essential oils!
Essential Oil Scented Cards
Add a few drops of your chosen winter essential oil or blend to a cotton pad. Place the cotton pad and a handful of cards in a ziplock bag. Let them sit for 24 hours. Don't let the cotton ball touch the cards directly (the oil can stain). Remove your cards after one day. Ready to endorse and send!
Essential Oil Pinecones
Add several drops of your favorite essential oil for winter to a bowl of pine cones (like pine or cinnamon). Let the aroma naturally evaporate. Re-scent the cones as needed. If you want a bigger whiff, bring the bowl to your nose and gently inhale it.
Safety Guidelines for Using Essential Oils
Diffuse 30 minutes to 1 hour at a time, read more about how long to diffuse oils.
It is best not to apply undiluted essential oils onto the skin. When using essential oils topically on the skin, be sure to dilute with a carrier oil like jojoba oil or sweet almond oil.
Using essential oils can improve a person’s emotional, physical, and mental state. For best results, make sure you use pure essential oils and learn how to use them properly.
People can have different responses to essential oils, you may find what works for one person, doesn't work for you. You can learn more here about what to do when essential oils don't work.
