Want to freshen your space? DIY Essential Oil Sprays are a great way to help the air in your home smell clean without the harmful chemicals that are in most commercial fresheners. Make a homemade spray instead to ensure that what you are spritzing is non-toxic. Here I share Spring Essential Oil Spray Recipes you can enjoy now and even after the season passes.

What I love about making my own air fresheners is that I can naturally scent them with aromatherapy oils. When using essential oils for room sprays, the possible blend choices are nearly endless.

Be sure to buy 100% pure essential oils from a reputable company when making your own products to enhance the air around you.

How to Make Spring Essential Oil Spray?

When making natural DIY sprays for spring or any time of the year, distilled water is best to keep impurities out of your oil recipes. Keep in mind that water and oil don't mix so you will need to shake the spray bottle well before each use.

Often I find that after making bottles of air freshener that if I allow 24 hours for my blends to "rest" or "marinate", the scents tend to smell stronger when used.

Essential Oil Spray Recipes for Spring to Make and Take for Seasonal Delight by Loving Essential Oils

Basic Spring Essential Oil Spray Recipe

Here is what you need for a 2 fluid ounce bottle of:

  • 10 - 20 drops of essential oils
  • 1 tablespoon of grain alcohol
  • 1/4 cup distilled water
  • 2 oz glass spray bottle

Directions: Add grain alcohol and drops of essential oils to the spray bottle, swirl to blend. Then fill the rest of the glass spray bottle with distilled water and put sprayer top on. To use, shake well to mix and mist the spray into the air.

Recipe Notes: Some people prefer to use vodka or witch hazel instead of grain alcohol. The grain alcohol is meant to be used as a preservative, you can omit this ingredient but will need to use your spray bottle recipe within 2-3 weeks.
