Oregano essential oil is to be used cautiously. It has a high phenol content and should never be used on the skin undiluted. It is recommended to use at a 1% dilution level. So only 5-6 drops for 1 oz of carrier oil like jojoba oil.

According to Tisserand & Young:

Oregano is known to be a moderate skin irritant and a strong mucous membrane irritant. Do not use on children under 2 years old. Do not use on hypersensitive, diseased, or damaged skin. Do not use during pregnancy or if breastfeeding.
