How to Make Eucalyptus Soap with Melt and Pour

I am using Goats Milk melt and pour base because it has hydrating and nourishing properties.
DIY Eucalyptus Soap Recipe
Eucalyptus oil is a refreshing and invigorating essential oil that works great in homemade soaps. It can be used to help clear congestion and stimulate the mind. This DIY eucalyptus soap recipe is easy to follow and makes a great addition to any bathroom.
Ingredients needed:
- 1 pound Goats Milk melt and pour soap base
- 1/4 teaspoon Soap Pigment (optional for color)
- 1 teaspoon Eucalyptus essential oil of choice
- Glass measuring cup (size 4 cups)
- Silicone molds of choice
- Spray bottle with Rubbing Alcohol
Step by Step Tutorial
Step 1: Cut up soap block with a sharp knife into small squares, this helps it to melt quicker. Place the cut-up soap into the glass measuring cup.
Step 2: Place measuring cup into a pot with 2 inches of boiling water. You do not want rapid boiling because that can cause water to splash into your soap base.
Step 3: Stir occasionally with a glass stir rod until base completely melts (no solid chunks left). Takes 10-15 minutes. Once melted, remove from heat using a potholder because the handle will be hot.
Step 4: Add in soap color pigment, mix in the best you can. The next step will help get the pigment mixed in more. I used aquamarine for my soap color, it looked a little gray when I was mixing but came out a pretty color.
Step 5: Add in eucalyptus oil and stir well until completely blended.
Step 6: I like to put the silicone molds on a wooden tray so I can transport them without much movement. Pour soap into molds evenly. Spray the exposed tops of soap with rubbing alcohol, this helps to pop the bubbles so the soap is smooth on top. You can get the molds I used here. I filled 9 of these molds completely with this recipe.
Step 7: Let cool for about 2-3 hours until soap hardens. Pop soap bars out of silicone mold. The unused soap bars will need to be wrapped in plastic wrap for storage to avoid having them sweat.
