Recreate Memories with Family by Lori W, WV:
Having come from a large family, the amount of baking and cooking over the holidays filled the counters and two refrigerators and freezers. But as kids grew up and moved away, and the elder generations passed on, the need for so much food ended and the variety of sweet and savories filling the house was the first sacrifice.
I noticed that for my own little branch of the family tree, we can recreate some of those happy memories of our traditional family holidays with essential oil scents. Now when my kids come home, they come into a home smelling like Grandma Maggie's kitchen and we aren't over baking and cooking which leads to over eating during the holidays. I think it's a win-win.
